Just before coming out I had organised with the local builder to backfill to the retaining wall that I built last month. When I arrived we covered the entire area with around 150mm of hardcore and crushed granite, all of which was compacted by a big roller.
Next for the AstroTurf installation, which was another real family effort, with all of them involved in the installation. The rolls were around 18m long and 2m wide each and took some mauevering. The tape that sticks each strip together is really good, but does tend to try and stick to itself when being applied. We got better as we went along and completed the installation in an afternoon and morning.
