First of all, digger was back to level some of the spoil that was extracted from the pool. Now we have a height off the slab, we know the final patio level. We are probably going to put AstroTurf down next to the patio, to give a small &#8216;sports&#8217; area. So we&#8217;ve left a lot of the spoil there, but have levelled it off to 100mm lower than the finished height. This is for the 2.5m &#8216;beach&#8217; area, that will be 40cm high (~30cm water depth). With the final level of the pool being about 50-60cm above the natural terrain, we have only needed to scrape a little off top allow for 10cm hardcore, 20cm slab, and 40cm pool wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The earthworks company have also dropped of 4 tonnes of 10\/15mm washed gravel for backfilling.
